Rich, I would like to know everything about the 4 piece rod i possess? Patten #1807078 mfg.date/year,value ect. The rod and all components appear in very good condition except for a very small chip in the butt of the cork,some paint ware at the eyes and farrel ends

Nice rod Wayne - When you say 4 piece I ssume you mean a 3 piece rod with two tips?  It'll be a 6 wt and it was built a from about 1955-1965.  Condition is VERY impportant in determining value and it can be very hard to evaluate that in bacmboo rods without it in my hands.  In great shape that rod is worth about $400 (and if it includes the original tube and sock).  If there are issues with it the value goes down from there to potentially zero if there are structural issues with it.  I hope this helps,
