Identifying and value of an old Great lakes bamboo rod

old rod Hello I have an old bamboo laker rod Im hoping you can help me with.
Its Made by a company called Great lakes model number P5089 made in Canada other than that I know nothing of this rod and have had no luck finding any information about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. Are you sure it is bamboo?

2. Do you have any other pictures?

The wraps look a lot like 1960s style wraps used on fiberglass rods.

I can't find anything on the Great Lakes company. Is it possible this is the model name rather than the maker name?
