QuestionQUESTION: I recently read an article you wrote on the Do-It homepage about this spinnerbait you created and would like to try to duplicate it. I could not find the photo you mentioned and am not sure about the bending of the wire for the blades. Could you direct me to a link to see the photo? Thanks, Charles Sullivan

ANSWER: Hi Charles,
Yes, I'm not sure why the pictures aren't on the website. Attached is a picture. If this doesn't help you enough, send me your address and I will copy or trace the wire pattern for you and send it.

QUESTION: The photo will be a great help, and thanks again. In my area it seems we are catching fewer bass on spinnerbaits than in the past. Have you experienced that or heard it from others?
AnswerHi Charles, You are welcome, no problem.
Spinnerbaits are still a great way to cover a lot of water quickly. I guess I haven't heard of them losing their effectiveness around here. They are a great multi-species bait up here in Wisconsin. Bass, Pike, and even Muskies will hit them. It's a fun way to fish shallow weeds and fall downs. They are good flowage baits here with all the vibes and the snag proof characteristics. If they have lost some of their zing, try some different colors or blades. Mostly darker blades. I love copper blades and you rarely see spinnerbaits sold with copper. Thats the beauty of making your own. Or the black nickle. Keep the vibration but tone down the flash and you may get renewed interest. Or buy some uncoated brass blades and let them tarnish. Just a little secret that has worked for me.
Good luck,
Marc
