Bamboo Cane Pole

I have a 8' two section  No. 5 line pole with an extra tip  serial # 1487 made by R.L. Leslie Fine Cane Poles all three pieces have matching serial #'s and the 1st section is signed. I have not been able to fine any info about this pole or value, any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have searched my memory  and books and there is no R.L Leslie there but that means it's off the collectors usual radar.

Is it fly or spin? Where is the reel in relationship to the handle , above or below ?

I just purchased the book, Classic Rods and Rodmakers by the late Martin J. Keane.  
I see live auctions #http://www.liveauctioneers.com/catalog/18661/page2) is selling the late Mr Keanes collection which includes a R.L. Leslie.  
Why don't you drop me an email in 2 weeks , [email protected] , and lets see if I can learn about Leslie from the book
