QuestionI recently inherited a old bamboo fly rod and was curious what it might be worth. The handle is inscribed and reads, built by Wesley D. Jordon for Dr. Minor C. Hill 1944. It is in excellent condition and has a green cloth bag for the pieces of the rod (including an extra third tip piece) and it has a aluminum tube for storage. Thank you
AnswerKurt
you have a fine fly rod indeed. Jordon is recognized as an innovator in fly rods. Since your rod is complete, extra tip, bag and tube, the actual condition will be important and the assembled length of the rod (9' being the most common). Prices have moved around a lot with the economy.
