Answer
Mike,
I am a bamboo man not fiberglass. Fiberglass is just not collected like bamboo. It was made from the 1950s to the 70s.
I have no specific history or books on fiberglass, I believe they don't exist, but here's two web sites that on fiberglass:
http://fiberglass-fly-rods.pbwiki.com/
http://www.fiberglassflyrodders.info/
Please be cautious about someone telling you your rod is worth thousands until they offer cash. People want fiberglass to be collectable like bamboo but that doesn抰 make it so.
And the history is not in books , either. For example, Antique & Collectible Fishing Rods: Identification & Value Guide Homel, Dan. 1997 (2nd edition 2000) add about 30% for age of book. Homel mentions the maker , Winchester but no fiberglass rods.
The collectors don't want them and they have written the history and information, or caused it to be written.
You rod was made by the same company that made the repeating rifle and other arms.
For a short period of time, EW Edwards made rods for Winchester. Your rod being fiberglass making it difficult to sell or find history. Playing With Fire: The Life and Fly Rods of E.W. Edwards by Patrick C. Garner does not mention fiberglass at all.
Luck,
Mac
