Shakespear fly rod

Question
I have a 1952 Shakespear #A1369A split bamboo fly rod, 8 1/2', 3piece w/2tips, with original cases#  It was bought by my dad in 1952, just before we moved to the Naval Base in Newfoundland#  On a scale of 1-10 I would rate it as a 8#5=9.  Is there any value to this rod?  I don't think it has been used since 1954.
Thanks for your time

Answer
The Shakespeare's don't have the same collector appeal as say, the Heddons.  But that said, if it is in good condition it could be worth $75 to $100.  The real expert on old bamboo is Joe Douglas on this site.  I would run this question past him and see what he has to say.

Good luck,

Marc
