found fishing equipment

i went snorkle diving and found a rig on the bottom of the lake.  got a diawa rs1300 and a browning graphite rod.  both completely covered in zebra mussels, (invasive species michigan)  reel pitted somewhat on outside.  i"m cleaning both now.  kind of fun.  any value?

Hi Rob,

Neither of these items would be worth more than $20 if it were new.  There is a new RS1300 on ebay right now for $5.  If you get them clean and working they may make a good back up outfit with a great story behind them.
