Split bamboo fly rod very old
Question
My Grandfather gave ma a Bamboo Rod from the end of the great depression. He traded farm crops for it to fish some of the near by streams in Huntington PA. The label is one of few I have seen pictures of where the red seem stitching up the burlap cover is over the label instead of under it like many factory made rods form that time and model. The label says Triump No A1305T 8ft 6 in Trout weight, The bottom row of text is ubstructed some by the red stitching but I can make out *** AZOO 2 Michigan USA, but not the first few letters. The cork and the first slide in on the large rod piece is worn some. The bottom handle where the reaal goes is green. There are no Shakespeare markings anywher but on the label. I have all 4 pieces in working condition.
Any thoughts?

your rod was made in Kalamazoo Michigan. Shakespeare was a major tackle company based in Kalamazoo. During the depression, shakespeare outsourced rod building to Horrocks Ibbotson, NY and South Bend Co, Indiana.
Shakespeare rods typically sell in the $50-150 range.
