I have a Heddon 2 piece bamboo baitcaster
Heddon #9 just babove the handle.
Bag says Heddon tempered bamboo split-not sawed
a Genuine Dowagiac
can has James Heddon's sons Dowagiac Mich.
This rod is like new never been used
Can you give me any information and a price?

You may have heard that bamboo rods are collectable and valuable but that really only pertains to fly rods made by certain manufactures.
Bait casting rods just aren't collected like fly rods and so their resale value is much lower.
Price Book:
Antique & Collectible Fishing Rods: Identification & Value Guide Homel, Dan. 1997 (2nd edition 2000) add about 30% for age of book.
Home mentions several bait casting rods.
He gives the Heddon 5' model "#9 heavy bait casting rod, 2 sections, the value of $20, 50 and $90 for poor, good, excellent condition respectively.
But that is the theory on paper . In practice I doubt you could get $50 for it. If you do it's to a restaurant that wants to hang it on a wall.
