Questioni have a one piece fiberglass rod that my dad had before he passed it has been in the family since 1952 to me it looks a lot like a casting rod when you hold it all eyes are on top so it seems backward it is square and has a wood handle that i think was added i am just trying to date can you tell me please when and where it was made clearly marked wright and mcgill in reel seat area

Wright and Mcgill is a fishing tackle company out of Colorado. They date back into the 20s. They acquired the Goodwin Granger Rod Company around WWII, to improve their fly fishing business.
Its hard to tell your rods age. Their earlier fiberglass was brown, followed by yellow in the 60's and 70's.
