My neighbor gave me this reel.  I'm trying to figure out how to load the line into it.  Can you tell how to or know where I can get a owner's manual?  Thank you for your time and help.

Hi Hartwell,

I don't know who would have an owners manual.  That would be tough to find.  Watching e-Bay possibly.  But unscrew the green lid on the front of the reel.  That will expose the spool.  take off any line that is on there.  

Now pass the end of the new line through the hole in the green cap.  you will need to tie a cinch knot around the arbor of the spool so it stays tight.  Screw the lid back on and start reeling.  Stop when the line is about 1/8th inch from the edge of the spool.  

I would use no more than 8-10 pound line on that reel.
