Anglerfish are voracious predators and their diet consists mainly of fish, including other anglerfish, as well as squid, octopus, and other invertebrates. They use their bioluminescent lure to attract prey, which is then sucked into their large mouths. Anglerfish have been known to swallow prey whole, even if it is larger than their own body.
