Braid

Question
I experience a lot of breaks at the knot. I use power pro and a palamore knot. I retie for every trip, what could be the problem.

Hi Steve,

Very surprised to hear this.  The palomar and the UNI knots are the two good ones for braid.  Make sure you are leaving a 1/4 to 3/8" tag end and that the end is not slipping out.  

Double check the line and that is isn't worn and fuzzy.  You will have to make sure you are removing 2-3 feet after every trip.  It does wear out.  Especially if you are fishing around rocks or timber.

Check those items and see if that helps.  If not I am puzzled because the stuff just doesn't break if it is fresh.
