Wittek MFG CO. Fishing Rod

long shot of rod   Hi Robert,

   I have been researching a antique fishing rod i recently acquired and have had no luck finding information. The rod is a one piece, bamboo rod and it's a little over 10 feet long. The handle area is engraved with the name 'Wittek MFG CO. Chicago U.S.A. and also PAT 2278337. The rod is in remarkable condition for it's age and I would like to sell it. Do you have any idea what a rod like this goes for. Any help would be very appreciated. ( I included pictures)

The patent is for a hose clamp...I don't think its original to the rod. Wittek was a hardware company out of Chicago...can you provide some more photos. Its hard to tell that this is a rod vs. a pole - if its home made or a production rod.
