Information on Ike Walton

I purchased an Ocean City reel recently. It has a "Ike Walton" label on it. Who was Ike Walton? I have been trying to locate information on who he was, when he lived, and I guess he was an sportsman. Thanks for your help.

Frank; Ike Walton was one of the most famous writer in the history of bass fishing.  He authored the book of the Black Bass in which he gave great detail on America's black bass.  I had a copy of the book but can't find it right now.  It would tell me when he wrote but I think it was early 19th century.  I am certain that you can find a copy of it in most good Libraries.  His name is Isaac Walton.  I am sorry this is so late.  My computer put it in spam and I just checked my spam and found it.  Thank you for calling on me to answer your question.  If you have other fishing questions (not fishing tackle) I will try to give you answers.
