Antique Hardy Bros fly fisihng rods

Question
I inherited two Hardy Bros. Fishing Rods. One is a three piece, 15',  Alnwick Rod,  Serial A1 39698 with a beautiful solid brass reel. The other a 8'6", three piece, Palakona Rod, serial E 79417. Both are in good condition in original cloth case with original Hardy emblems. I am wondering what the general approximate value of each should be.

As general information, Hardy rods manufactured prior to 1966 should carry individual identification numbers (i.d.) stamped on the reel fitting, or butt cap. Rods manufactured post 1966 will usually carry a simple letter coding inscribed in ink above the cork handle (month/year). As a special note, cane rods manufactured between 1966-1981 may carry either, or both, of these identification numbers.

So someone sold this database on ebay on a CD and I bought it. It has been confirmed by my experience and other sources  such as the old gray website.

The three piece, 15',  Alnwick Rod,  Serial A1 39698 - are you sure it is A1 ? I would need a picture to confirm the following:
According to this database ,A 39698 was made in 1909. Looks to be a Spey rod, which are gaining a new popularity. Model name could be Connemara Salmon, Extra Light Salmon
or Paradox Mahseer

Price book: Antique & Collectable Fishing Rods: Identification & Value Guide Homel, Dan. 1997 (2nd edition 2000, add about 30% for age of book.)

Homel doesn't mention long rods like yours but the average bamboo rod goes for 76,    163, and 316 for poor, good, excellent condition respectively.

Hardy Palakona 8'6", three piece,  serial E 79417 was made in 1951.
Palakona  models were made from 1881 to 1970s.
Homel gives the  "Palakona #8" fly rod 8 1 /2' two piece has no extra tip is  valued at  $80, 160 and $275 for poor, good, excellent condition respectively.
