Great Lakes Imperial 1 pc. Rod & Reel

I have a 1 pc. Great Lakes Imperial Fishing rod & reel from Marysville, Michigan, USA. The reel is black with chrome in the middle.  It has a spin dial on the bottom for light, heavy trolling. It is in great shape and working condition.
    Can you tell me how old this would be and how much it is worth.

Great Lakes Products introduced their whirl-a-way rod/reel combination in 1953. The is the early model has a handle that slides to the back to cast, later they made the handle fixed on the side of the bulb. The design was patented 2,783,952, you can pull it up with google patents.

These rod/reel combos range in value from $25 to $75, more if you have the original box.
