Eagle Claw,Wet Noodle Rod Wright/McGill
Question
Dear Mr.Rimmer,
I have an 11.6 Star Fire, great shape, looks like the reel seat is for a spinning reel set up as its 10 inches from the butt.I would like to know what its worth.
Currently unemployed and sadly have to sell some things.
Thank you so much for your time.

Answer
Hello Grant!
Thanks for the question.
While I am by NO means an appraiser of rods and reels, I did a bit of investigating and found similar 11.5' noodlers for sale online over the last year or so. Unfortunately, you didn't quite give me enough information on the rod. I have handled the "S" glass models (yellow fiberglass) and while I don't own one, they are great rods for early steelhead fishing with the light line...noodle rods are VERY forgiving, preventing a lot of break-offs and they have a number of followers out there. I do not recall the "Star Fire" model specifically. If it was fiberglass, they may go for about thirty bucks or so, if graphite, perhaps double that. Just remember that the value of something is only what one is willing to pay for it. So it is with fishing equipment.
Hope you're not selling all your gear. I couldn't live without mine!
Hope this gives you some guidance.
Spring is a coming! Hope you get out and fish!
