value of fishing reels; rods
Question
I have several old fishing reels that I would like an approxiamte value on....
The first is a Shalespeare 1922 DeLuxe Wonderreel Model FK with the original box, as green felt bag with the care, oiling and parts numbers of the reel trifold paper. It also has a separate sheet "shakespeare reels with Aluminum parts' cleaning instructions.
The second is an ABbey & Imbrie reel named Apollo.
The third is a Pflueger Alpine with Trade Mark 2675F Made in the USA
The first Rod is 5' 8" Howalo Wonderod by Shakespeare Model 1190L with the tube and fabric/canvas covering for the tube and handle.
The second rod appears to be a very old fly fishing rod: it has a canvas sheath with sections for each piece- 3 pieces made of wood - no markings that I can see.
The third rod is another fly fishing rod with a canvas sheath for each section. However this rod is two piece but comes with two different top halves with different stiffnesses. Again no markings
Thanks
Jeff
Answer
Hi
the Shakespeare Deluxe in the box would sell for $10-15
If memory serves me right the A&I Apollo reel is plastic? if yes little to no collector value.
Pflueger Alpine - $5-10 depending on condition
Shakespeare Wonderod - $5-10
Fly fishing rods without a maker are tough to value, can you provide photos?
