Eagle Fish Finder
Question
I am looking for a transducer for both an Eagle Silent 60 and and Eagle Silent 30 II. Any ideas other than Ebay or the company as to where I can locate one. Also, can I rewire a different transducer to it.
Answer
Hello Stephanie,
I did a bit of research and you may also have stumbled upon the same information that I did. In an ice fishing forum, I found this post that, after my research , should be accurate:
From Norman Schrader- Team IceShanty Addict on IceShanty.com
"The transducer that you need is a PD-W 192 KHz 20 deg cone transducer (Lowrance P/N: 90-41). The only problem is that the Silent Sixty flasher used a different connector. If you have the old transducer, you can cut the connector off leaving it with about 1 ft of pig tail so that you can splice it in to the new one. The SS1 was manufactured about 25 years ago and they changed the connectors on the transducers around 1989 or so. I googled the Lowrance PD-W and got several hits on stores that say they have them".
Good luck.
Norm
Stephanie, I found the Lowrance Part Number 90-41 on a number of sites under transducers. You will have to remove the connector from the older unit and splice it to the new. (Silent 60).
To confirm all of this information and possibly obtain the original part for both finders, try to contact Lowrance at 1-800-628-4487 ( Customer Service). They may be able to assist you with exactly what you need. Also go to Eaglenav.com and contact their customer service people if you have not already.
After a number of years using the flashers ( I still love the speed of those units!) I switched to the LCD units.
I understand your frustration! I still use a Humminbird 4ID and was trying to get the surface temp module and the transducer with the speed wheel...no luck so far but at least the unit still works very well. Humminbird does not support the units at ALL...Zero...NADA and didn't help me with possible caches anywhere in the country...repair places and the like. Oh well, such is tech.
DON'T hesitate to buy the proper puck off of E-Bay if you stumble across it...you may get lucky at a bargain price.
Best to you! Now get out and do some fishing!
