Walton E Powell Bamboo flyrod

I would like a valuation on this rod if possible.
I bought this bamboo rod from Bob Mariott's fly fishing shop (CA# about 18 years ago and never used it. It appears in unused condition. Unfortunately, I recently fractured on of the tips #spare#, and I want to know if the rod's value makes it feasible to consider repair.  Although fractured, it is not completely broken off.
I can't remember what I paid for it.
Description:
Markings: "Walton E  Powell - maker" signature "79-77" on each pc. NO other markings anywhere.
Length: 8', two piece with spare tip #one fractured now#
Est. 5 weight #no markings for weight or length#
Aluminum butt, reel seat #not anodized#
Plain aluminum carrying case with green cloth bag...no markings.

You have a bamboo rod made by the son of EC Powell. He wsa a world class reknown bamboo rod maker. Even his sons rods are valuable. There might be  black serial numbers on all sections.

AJ says a powell rod was probably used in "A river runs through it
and mentions both EC and son Walton as highly collectible rod makers.

Homel gives the EC Powell 8' trout fly rod with an extra tip, 3 sections the  value of  $150, 425 and $795 for poor, good, excellent condition respectively. Homell also has a very objective exacting criteria for condition that I bring to your attention at your local library.

If repaired professionally, it is about $200 difference.
