AnswerHi Shawn,
For some reason I can't get the photos to enlarge. From what I can see, the completed rod appears to be a fiberglass spinning rod. This would be appropriate since Russ Peak was famous for his fiberglass rod building abilities.
If it has two separate tip sections of different lengths can you determine if one has been broken; or, if they are made for separate purposes?
I am sorry to tell you that I don't know much about the value of his rods and I don't have any compaison data to help me on this one. I would suggest the fiberglass fly rodders forum as a possible place to check, if you have not already done so.
The two blanks which are not completed would have value as blanks rather than rods, but they do represent essentially new 1950s E-Glass blanks made by a leader of the times. I am equally without data for valuation of the blanks, but would presume they have fairly significant value.
I will add these to my list of things to watch for as I research rods and rod makers. If I find anything useful, I'll let you know.
Sorry, again, Joe
