VIM fishing poles
Question
I recently came across a fishing rod that appears to be made of metal? The only markings on it are made in the U.S.A. and VIM with an arrow on each side pointing at it. The handle is made of wood, rod about 6' two piece. Any info on who made it and its worth would be great!
Answer
Hi Daniel,
Metal rods were popular from the 1920s to the 1940s and most were made by a few companies regardless of the name on them. Unfortunately, they are not highly collectible.
I am not certain who made the VIM rods, but there were plenty of them made. I am pretty certain that the value would be in the $50-$20 range depending on actual condition.
Thanks, Joe
