i need help identifying this rod please help???? heres all the info ---7'9" 5 oz 1/4-5/8 oz lures 6-15 lb line is what is wrote on the pole --original butt cap all cork is original in very nice shape --all original eyes - intact this pole is a beauty i need to know is it a fly or spinning rod --how do i tell --and what maybe a value is ---im a fisherwoman but only catfish and crappie here in TX ---- serial number is N152242

It is a spinning rod. The telltale signs are the line and lure ratings. It is a medium to medium-heavy rated rod that will work fine for crappie and should do well on catfish as well. I wouldn't chase any 100 pounders below the dam, but it should handle pretty decent sized catfish. Also, there should be a fore grip and a rear grip above and below the reel seat; and the guides are likely larger spinning guides and not snake guides or single foot fly guides.
Value depends on actual condition of the rod, but would probably be in the $25-$50 range.
