ANSWER: Hi Neil,
I found one reference to a Norcro rod which also contains the name Fordhambridge Hants (may be Fordham Bridge Hants) which means nothing to me but could be a place name in England? This reference is to a spinning rod for sale and indicates this is a high quality rod. It is a split bamboo rod and looks very nice in the photos. Asking price is 195 pounds.
I can't find any other information on Norcro as an active company so I assume they are one of many rod building companies in the UK that are no longer active.
Is your boat rod also cane?
What is the cane fly rod? Maker and model?
Hope this helps, Joe

QUESTION: cheers for that the boat rod is fibreglass , the three piece fly rod is a hardys with the numbers 46543 stamped by hand on it, the reel has been painted black years ago but was told the rod and reel were brought a a pair of hardys cheers neil
Answer
Hi Neil,
The glass boat rod is not going to compare in value to a cane version. The glass boat rods I handle tend to run in the $10-$40 rnage depending on actual rod condition.
A three piece Hardy fly rod should have a second tip section. Value tends to vary with the model on these, but if the second tip is missing, value will be greatly diminished.
Does it have a model name? How long is the rod? What shape is in in?
Thanks, Joe
