Hi I have a vintage fenwick fishing rod and Idont know what its worth my friend wants to buy it and I have seen these on ebay for as much as 700.00 dollars any info would be greatly appreciated

Hi Rodger,

First, asking price and getting price are two different things...so concentrate on what things may be selling for as opposed to what the asking price may be.

Second, I also saw some of the vintage lunker sticks advertised at high prices.  My refernece material indicates a pristine model would be more in the $100-$150 range depending on condition...but I do not have a breakdown by individual model numbers, more of generic group of lunker sticks.

This rod is a fairly heavy duty rod and as such may well be more desirable for certain kinds of fishing opportunities.  I still can not imagine the value would be more than double that range.  If you find data that indicates the higher value, I would be interested in knowing about it.
