What is the best time for walleyes fishing and what kind of hook?  thank you

Your question is quite general...but I will do my best.

My favorite time to catch walleyes is at dusk, 1/2 hour before and after the sun hits the trees. This is by far the most productive time to be fishing eyes.

As far as hooks go....it really depends on how you are fishing for them...ice fishing I will only use Gamakatsu #10 treble hooks....summer wind drifting a crawler, I tie my own 2 hook harnesses with True Turn, bait keeper hooks (not sure of the size).
