im buying a fishing boat

Hi
im going to buy my first boat , im 46 , and most of my fishing is for large mouth. I live in spfld . mass. Im thinking new and have ben looking at crestliners. my first question is should i go yamaha or mercury and why.
My second question is that i have ben looking at the crestliner fish hawk 1750 or the cmv 1750
i faver the fish halk but i no nothing about hulls. the hawk is listed as a fishing boat and the cmv is listed as a bass fishing boat.
will the fish halk fish shalow waters

Hi Steve,
I have had good luck with both Mercury and Yamaha. They are both dependable engines. As far as I know they trade some technology back and forth anyway. I don't think you will be disapointed either way.
Crestliner makes a quality boat for a good price. I believe that the hull is essentially the same on both of those boats. You should have no trouble getting either boat into relatively shallow fishing water. They will also both handle the wind chop on the way back accross the lake at the end of the day. Good luck.
