Answer
Hi Bob:
You bought a great rod that might be a little heavy for Bahamian bonefish--for Florida bones it is just right. I've not used any Orvis reel but they have a good reputation. Within your price range this may be your best bet. However, you might want to set your sight on the Old Florida Nautilus reel--see <http://outdoorsbest.zeroforum.com/zerothread?id=121501>for a review by someone who knows fly reels (the site itself plus Dan Blanton's site[see Google]are good ones to search archives for info on any reel you have in mind). And I wouldn't underweight the rod with #8 line--if anything, overline it with #10. Again, these sites have very good info on this issue which you ought to see. One final thought--Ross reels might be in your price range and need an examination. Good luck. Boris
