old banboo rods into short new ones

Question
Any books or vidoes on how to take an old bamboo
rod 9 ft  or  8 1/2 and using the top sections make a new shorter rod out of it

I am unaware of any books and videos specific to this subject. I have done it years ago but moved on to making my own. If you look at the general informationon bamboo restoration and building your own rods you may get there.
I recommend that you join the rodmakers list service at
