Weedless Trebles
Question
I need to replace many of the trebles on my cramkbaits and was wonndering if you had an opinion on the Eagle Claw Weedless type. Living in eastern North Carolina at sea level, I'm not so worried about weeds as I am roots and underwater stumps inshore. I'm tired of loosing lures, line, and snaps and would like to avoid this in the future. Thanks much.

Answer
Jacob,
First, I must deeply apologize for being so long in replying. There have been computer and personal problems which have made it impossible.
So, now for your answer. You might try the weedless trebles, but I would rather use a weedless crankbait, such as the Timber Tiger, and change to sharp Daiichi trebles. Maybe even use the Bleeding Bait series.
As a side note, if you would use Bleeding Bait hooks you don't need both hooks in that style. The front hook will give it the blood flash needed, but you can use a tail instead it so wished.
Hope this has answered you question, and if you have further ones in regards to this, or other fishing please fire away. Hopefully I won't be as long in answering.
Best of fishing,
Dan
