Cross rod

I have a vintage Cross 241 bamboo rod, about 75". Can you tell me anything about it , use? Also it is missing end tip, use anything?
reel is Missing , suggestions for replacing?

the Cross Rod Company started in the early 1920s by Wes Jordan. By the mid 1920s they were purchased by Southbend Bait Co, out of Southbend Indiana. You can google more information.

The value of the rod is tricky, it sounds like you only have one of the two tips and its missing the end guide or the whole bamboo section? So I don't expect this rod will be very valuable as described.
