w-d40

Question
I heard if you spay w-d40 on your rubber worms
will attract the fish more ..is this true?

Answer
Robert,
WD-40 has been something of a mystery.  A lot of anglers fishing in the walleye circuit proved that it worked when spraying it on a jig.  One of my friends put it to the test during pre-fish days for a tournament on the Mississippi River, and he said it really did work.

As for the plastic worm, I'm not sure, as I have not used it.  I have had very good results using worms that are pre-scented, such as Power Worms and Larew Salt Craws/Tubes/Ribbon Tail Worms/Ring Worms.  I've also done well with Kodiak pastes, which are made from real bait.

Hope this has helped.

Best of fishing,
Dan
