Bellingham, Wash. fishing guides?
Question
I'm looking for names of possible guides to get my father-in-law acquainted with fishing in Lake Whatcom & other area lakes. He plans to retire in the area soon and would like a little help initially as to the best places to fish. Thank you.
Answer
I found a source for fishing reports on Lake Whatcom,
http://www.washingtonlakes.com/Search.aspx
However it appears the lake is a little small for fishing guides to work on. I did find a guide for Drano Lake which appears to be nearby. You might try this guide...

Try going to
http://www.1fghp.com/wa.html There are some guides on there who can take him fishing, and teach him techniques and the fishing reports will help him figure out what tactics will work best.
Here is a Washington Bulletin Board you can post requests for help fishing lake Whatcom on. You might also ask to fish with a local angler there. http://www.piscatorialpursuits.com/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=forum&f=5
you might luck out and find a good fishing partner for your dad on this board. I run one on Fishin.com and lots of guys hook up with new fishing partners on these boards.
