Bamboo Flyrod ID

Question
Hi Rich,
I have a 6 piece Bamboo Pack Or Poachers Fly Rod from the 1920's. The reelseat is the nickle silver sliding band type. The logo or makers mark is stamped in the reelseat. It is a diamond with a "D" and "E" and an arrow going through the letters. Above is the word "Trade" and below "Mark" The Butt is similar to a Thomas Chubb reelseat. Can you tell me the maker?
Thanks, Walleyemick

Answer
Really hard to say 朠ictures might help but I haven抰 seen that logo . Montague purchased Chubb materials and you see Chubb patents on their components.
I checked the following books and found nothing:
Antique & Collectable Fishing Rods: Identification & Value Guide Homel, Dan. 1997 nor
Bamboo Rod Restoration Handbook -Michael Sinclair .
For more info you can try :Anglers Collectibles exchange at
http://p199.ezboard.com/fanglerscollectiblesnamethatrod.html?
Or the rod makers list service
http://www.canerod.com/rodmakers/index.html
but I warn you not to take information that can not be verified.
I have only seen 5 and more piece bamboo rods in museums.
Good luck
