Fishing in Southen California

Hello, I have been wanting to go fishing but I was wondering if in the state of California do you have to have a fishing license every where you go? Or do you know if you can fish at any beach without it?

Hi Jennifer,
You have me stumped on this one.  I've fished in Florida, and any salt water is free, but inland areas need a license.  I'm not sure about California, but would suggest you check on the California DNR's website, of which I sure there is one.

I live in the Midwest, so it is difficult to let you know on this one.
