Hola I live in Alicante Spain and would like some advice on catching carp in the lakes in the area thanking you sid

Well I have never fished for Carp in Europe, but my understanding is that Carp are not native to the US and were imported, so I will tell you how we catch them here in the States.
We use corn on a hook, as well as dough baits, dead fish, and hooks full of Nightcrawlers or insects.  In some cases we will take canned corn and throw a bunch of it out to chum the water. Carp do have a fairly sophisticated sense of smell and lots of corn in the water will draw them to the area and put them in a feeding mood.
