fall northerns
Question
IM PLANNING A TRIP THIS FALL TO SOUTHERN MINNESOTA AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE BEST MONTH TO GO FOR THE BIGGER NORTHERNS ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT!! THANK YOU
Answer
I'm not familiar with Southern Minnesota Pike fishing but if the bite is like Wisconsin, Winter ice fishing and Spring hook and line is the best for sizeable fish. Pike tend to favor cooler water temps and the big ones are tough too target when the water is warm. If you do try when the water is warmer then 60 degrees I would look deeper for the big ones. As far as lures go something with silver and white flash has been best for me. Make sure to let the big ones go.
