catching blue runners and goggle eyes

maybe you could give me some insight on catching blue runners and goggle eyes to sell for live bait . i am very interested in pursuing this dream,i hate my job and saved enough money to buy a 19 ft cabin cruiser, this winter i am tearing the deck out of it and adding a live well that goes to the deck thru the bottom of the boat i am thinking about Miami to key west, but do you  have  any ideal where the greatest concentration of blue runners and goggle eyes are if you could help me id really appreciate it .

Hi Rhino;

 I am sorry but I really cannot be of any help on this subject.  I do my fishing in the North East and do collect much of the live bait I use.  But the two species you speak about are not common to this area.  

 I do know that the wholesale bait business where I live and fish is very local in nature.  The guys working it have generally done this since childhood, often taking over the business from family members.  This is basically a family operation.  Since they are making a living by catching various species for sale as bait, and competition is one thing they do not want, they are quite secretive about what they do, where, and how.  You can understand this attitude since the waters are open to the public and anyone can set out a trap or net.  Finding the right locations and right times to do this is a skill that has been passed along from generation to generation.  I can only assume that this same situation exits elsewhere.
