I have one with the gold diamond label. The middle section is missing two ferules. Where can I get ferrules to match? The thread is green. I believe I can fix it myself. I'm assuming this rod is not valuable. I paid a buck for it at a yard sale. I'm just retired and thought it would be fun to try fly fishing. I live in Michigan and have access to all kinds of fishing. As a kid I used my dad's equipment to catch Bluegills so I know its fun. One thing that puzzles me is that the reel holder is ahead of the cork handle. Is what I have a flyrod or spinning rod?

 Yes, the rod is not valuable. My book says the president model is a fly rod but your  description of the reel / handle, is a casting rod. On a fly rod the last thing is the reel and up the rod is the cork handle, leaving the reel below your grip. On a casting rod the grip is the last thing leaving the reel above your hand.
 Ferrules can be purchased from Mac email [email protected], or many fly fishing  mail order catalogs.
