Herters Bambo Fly rod

Mr McGaughey,
I have a 8' bamboo fly rod and possible matching spinning rod with canvas case and metal tube. Made in England decal and the following writing on the fly rod " Herter's Grand De Luxe St. Albans Entirely Hand Made R.H.8.C. Worlds Finest Custom Rods"
Fly rod two 48" sections with extra 48" tip. Minor varnish flakes. I am attaching pictures. Curious of value or should just go fishing with it.

I am a trout bamboo fly rod man myself so I can抰 help you a lot.
Here抯 a book that you might find in the library that may help 揊ishing Tackle?by  Graham Turner. It has English and UK rods in it .
Herter's is English.
My usual source is Antique & Collectable Fishing Rods: Identification & Value Guide Homel, Dan. 1997. It doesn't have Herters.
Minor varnish flakes means the rod is probably in poor condition.
