Kiraku answerr
Question
Rich, you once answered the question on value of these bamboo rods as minimal but stated that you were speaking of the post WWII rods that were purchased by soldiers. The rod I have has a date of 1927 on it---is this of significance?
Thanks
Answer
Robert,
I have since found out that the post WWII Japanese rods were not made out of Tonkin cane. I would like to see your rod to see if it is made on conventional materials. For example what are the metal parts , tin , chrome platted brass or nickel silver ? It could be a decent rod but all I have knowledge of is US made rods. Try searching "Kiraku " on ebay and the Internet.
