THE CASCADE FLY ROD - MAKER IS HORROCKS-IBBOTSON

I found this in my great uncle's estate recently.  Can you provide information to me?  Thank you.

.This rod and pieces are in a long metal storage tube.
.The logo sticker is on the tube. The Cascade - plastic impregnated split bamboo fly rod. Medium action - NO.9M - Weight 5 oz - Length 9 ft.  Made in USA  Sticker reads  Horrocks-Ibbotson Company Utica, N.Y.
.Cloth inside casing holds all pieces.
.ALL pieces never used and in MINT CONDITION.

The Cascade is a 3 piece 2 tip rod . If you have the 2nd tip and it is as you described, my book says $110. The book is Antique & Collectable Fishing Rods: Identification & Value Guide Homel, Dan. 1997.

I would look on ebay maybe the plastic impregnation would make it  more valuable to a fisherman.

Horrocks-Ibbotson rods are looked down upon by the collecting community  and often , they are justified. They were sort of mass produced , rather heavy and very slow.
