QuestionMy grandfather gave me a antique bamboo fly rod that was his fathers and it's very old, but i'm not sure exactly how old it is. It's a three piece with 2 extra tips with a carrying case and and bag with compartments for each piece. All of the 3 tips are different sizes. with all different tips on it is 11'3"-12'. Theres nothing but the rod but i just wanted to see how much it would be now. So can you tell me how much it's worth?
AnswerKamren,
I recomend you take pictures first and be ready to send them to me. Without labels I can't help ID them readily. I do know that non trout rods and rods with broken tips are not worth much. Antique is a very realitive term . I have had rods 60 years old , couldn't sell them, valued at under $50. Condition and ID is very important. The length of you rod idicates a non trout rod. Are you sure it is bamboo ? It could be wood or fiberglass.
If you have pictures I have a suggestion as to a person who could help you more .
[email protected] when you have pictures
Good Luck
