jigs
Question
How do I fish jigs from shore?
Answer
Well really the answer is fairly simple.. Fish them exactly the same way only a bit slower. Lift and drop, hop them like they are a crawfish, or you can also use what some call a swimming jig. Cast the jig out and let it hit the bottom then reel it in just fast enough to keep it off the bottom. I like to use them in river situations with a twister tail grub. They can be awesome for sauger and walleye as well as for white bass, and other fish.
You can also paralell cast them to banks on ponds.. or on some ponds you will be fishing similar to a lake in that you are about the distance you would be on a boat fishing the opposite shore.
