Wright-McGill fishing rod
Question
I acquired a Wright-McGill 2 piece spinning rod from a garage sale, it had been re-finished. there are no markings on it except the name and city, state of manufacturer. With what appears to be copper reel seat with aluminum hoods, and copper joints where rod goes together. Any information you might have would be great, or any way I could research it, can't find anything at the Wright-McGill web site.
Answer
Without further details they go in the $20 to $60 price range. At the high end the rod will be in very good condition, with the cloth bag and aluminum tube. Without the tube, drops the value into the 30s for a rod in excellent condition. Size, model would influence the value. They usually came with black writing on the yellow rod just above the handle with rod size, model name, line recommendations. They are still great rods to fish with.
