I want to catch a muskellunge but I don't have a boat. Is there any advice you can give me on locating them and lure choices.

Join a club to find someone who has a boat. Chances are you will make many new fishing friends that way.

To fish without a boat, I would try river systems, especially right below a dam.

Bucktails are by far the best.

Make sure you properly handle all fish that you catch. Don't go unless you have the right equipment to properly handle a big musky.  Big deep net, long pliers, mouth spreader, and a camera. Remember to keep the musky in the water to unhook it. Don't keep it out of the water any longer than you can hold your breath.
