I am an online auction broker. I have a client that says he has a 1924 Shakespeare Rod & Reel. I know nothing about this type of product. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Shakespeare is one of the big five tackle manufactures that started off before 1900 under William Shakespeare Jr, Kalamazoo Michigan. They are still around...having been bought out several times.

You will need to provide more information on the rod and reel. Specifically the name/model on the reel (Professional, Marhoff, etc). Same for the rod - type - flyrod, bait casting rod, surf rod. Also the material of the rod.

Shakespeare made medium/high quality to low quality products which greatly affect value.
