Answer
Well Barbara, off the top of my head, your inquiry stumped me. I had not heard the name brand in my experiences when building or when I should have come across it, when I was so actively repairing rods in my shop.
But, with a quick google search, I stumbled upon a forum- http://thebamboorodroom.yuku.com/topic/1008/Armax-7326#.UTqw0Fdaa8A.
As Mr. Easton relayed to an inquiry... "according to Pat Garner's book on Eustice Edwards Armax and Hendrix were two "brands" that Winchester created as well as making some rods for Folsom Arms. All three brands had model numbers started with 7###. These rods were probably first made around 1921 and sold until around 1931. EW Edwards left Winchester 1924. The rods probably didn't change that much over the years, so it is hard to determine when your rod was made".
-Doug Easton
That leads us to believe that you have an early rod in their line which should, by default, make your rod more collectible.
Your question has caused me to make a very serious decision...I have decided to stop fighting it and begin delving far more deeply into my fascination with the antique/vintage rod and reel world and to become versed on values as well.
I will encourage you to consult with a few others that are very well versed on antique split cane rods:
Rich Mac McGaughey here on AllExperts.com and Thomas Kerr at Oldrods.com
This should give you some guidance.
Thanks for the question (and the epiphany),
